Shared paradigms. Opt-in norms. No fake member counts.

Open Materials for Arabic-ready tasks, a Norming Exchange that grows regional baselines with consent, and IRB packs that get cheaper for every lab that follows. We are building this — we will not invent usage stats.

The long game

Each study should make the next one easier

Three loops: shared Arabic paradigms, opt-in regional norms, and compliance packs that lower IRB friction for the whole institution.

  1. Loop 1

    Open Task Exchange

Publish an Arabic-native paradigm; peers fork and adapt it in minutes, with citation lineage back to you preserved automatically.

  2. Loop 2

    Data & Norming Exchange

Opt-in sessions on validated stimuli contribute anonymized trial metrics to regional baselines no static dataset can match.

  3. Loop 3

    Institutional Compliance Standard

Pre-approved PDPL/IRB kits lower the approval burden for every study that follows, so research offices standardize on Biruni.

Norming Exchange, simply

  1. You run a study on library stimuli (with participant opt-in).
  2. Anonymized RTs and accuracy join dialect-aware baselines.
  3. Those baselines make the next MENA design sharper than a static offline list.

No invented community size. When Open Materials and the Exchange ship, forks and opt-ins will be measurable — until then, this is the design.

Bring your next Arabic study to Biruni

We are building with a small group of MENA labs before general availability. If your work needs accurate timing, real Arabic rendering, and in-Kingdom data residency, we want to hear what your study requires.

What selected groups get
A complimentary 12-month Lab license: 5 author seats, 2,500 participant tokens, full norms access.
Who we're looking for
Research groups in cognitive psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, and education across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.
What we ask in return
Run one real study, publish one paradigm to Open Materials, and tell us candidly where we're wrong.
